Ubuntu Pathways
As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Ubuntu Pathways, a nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive, cradle to career support to the most vulnerable children in South Africa, I oversee all aspects of design and communication. From creating impactful graphics and managing the website to leading marketing campaigns and nurturing donor relationships, I handle a diverse range of responsibilities. I've spearheaded major projects like redesigning the 25th Anniversary branding, managing annual reports, and training South African staff in graphic design. My role also includes event planning, art and creative direction, speech writing, video editing, email marketing, and social media management, ensuring a cohesive and compelling brand presence.
Creative Direction
I have helped with the creative direction of several projects for Ubuntu Pathways, such as our colorful 25th Anniversary Celebration campaign, showing the journey of services of a pregnant mother in our clinic, students learning in the classroom and innovation labs, and more.
International Events
For Ubuntu Pathways’ 25th Anniversary, I rebranded the organization to reflect this celebration. I used patterns we have in our existing branding, based on one of our missions of pathways out of poverty, to create a new type for the 25. With a colorful color palette, it shows that celebratory energy for such a milestone. For the 25th Anniversary Celebrations in London, Johannesburg, and New York, I designed all collateral, managed content, event planning, marketing, and so much more. For our New York event, we raised over $1.4 million for thousands of children and their families in South Africa.
